CROOKSTON – The Northwest Minnesota Small Business Development Center will hold free training events to help entrepreneurs better understand how to start a business.
According to a release from the University of Minnesota Crookston, three events will be held in May that focus on starting a business. The events will cover the state of the global supply chain, what business owners can anticipate over the next year and new methods that can be used to mitigate risk exposure to an evolving global situation.
“Every year, thousands of entrepreneurs start their own small businesses, from tech startups to clothing designers and tutoring services, to name a few,” said Christine Anderson, a consultant with the Northwest Minnesota Small Business Development Center. “Starting a business sounds risky to many (people), but the pitfalls of a small business startup can be avoided if you have the right approach.”
The meetings will be held in person, at the following locations:
- Wednesday, May 11, at the Thief River Falls public library at 5:30 p.m.
- Friday, May 20, at Valley Technology Park in Crookston at noon.
- Wednesday, May 25, at the East Grand Forks City Hall at noon.
